about

Smooth acoustic instruments collide with glitchy electronic sequences in
Porcelain Pill's debut EP.

Since forming in 2011, Porcelain Pill have been steadily building an audience through their diverse and exciting live shows.

The traditional band format of is shattered and rebuilt from the floor up in this folktronica duo. Ponderous guitar and cello lines feed upon glitchy electronic beats to build a solid groove for the male and female vocal combination.

2013 sees the release of the pair's debut, self-title EP “porcelain pill." In true indie-style, the EP was recorded and produced by the band themselves giving the creative freedom to experiment and craft a unique musical sound away from studio time restraints. The five tracks featured display an eagerness to explore the possibilities within this new folktronica genre and also begs the question “how do they achieve this live?” This is achieved through the use of live looping/sampling/sequencing and a lot of movement between instruments within the band.
